We’ve given you our four British prospects to watch in 2026, so now it’s time for us to go international, and we’ve picked out four future stars of the sport from outside the UK. First up, we head Down Under for one of the most exciting heavyweight prospects in the world.

It was a year to remember for British boxing in 2025, and 2026 looks set to be even bigger and even better. As we do each year, we give you some prospects to follow over the next 12 months who we are predicting big things from. This year, we’ve picked out four.

2026 is quite literally just around the corner, so with the new year pretty much here, we’ve picked out one fight that needs to happen in every single one of the 17 weight divisions in men’s boxing.

Riyadh Season’s reputation for putting on top-quality cards gets enhanced even more in Riyadh this weekend as eight of the world’s best put it all on the line in FOUR cracking world title fights across four different weight divisions. 

November 18th 1990… The night in which Nigel Benn was emphatically stopped by Chris Eubank Jr. 35 years on, one draw and another defeat later, Conor Benn claimed sweet revenge for the Benn family as he put on a career best performance to dominate and outclass Chris Eubank Jr in front of a packed-out Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. 

All eyes are once again on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend as Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn go at it for a second time. Before that though, there’s an absolutely stacked undercard which features three domestic barnstormers and two that include some of the future stars of British boxing.

The most highly anticipated rematch in recent British boxing history is finally here. This isn’t a fight that just belongs in the history books for 2025 — this is a fight that belongs in the history books of the past 30 years.

It’s not often you can go from Manchester to Orlando, but that’s exactly what we do in this weekend’s preview as we take a look at Queensberry’s light-heavyweight card in Manchester before turning our attention to Jordan Thompson’s heavyweight debut against the dangerous, undefeated Cuban, Lenier Pero.

It’s something we’ve written about time and time again, three times to be specific in less than a year but things just aren’t getting any better and in fact, they’re probably getting worse. Incompetent judging of fights. 

A British White Rhino clashing with a Russian Bear in Sheffield… Something that only AI could realistically visualise — however, this Saturday night, we get just that, as fan favourite Dave Allen takes on the hard-hitting Russian giant Arslanbek Makhmudov on home soil, with a solid domestic undercard before it.

When it comes to broadcasting in boxing, a majority of the big players globally have had a crack at it. From HBO to Sky Sports to ESPN to ITV, they’ve all, at some point, dipped their toe into the water. But in recent times, it’s been the new kids on the block taking over. With ESPN not renewing their deal with Top Rank and Sky Sports not renewing their deal with Boxxer, DAZN and Netflix have quickly stepped forward as the two big players in boxing broadcasting.

The big one is nearly here. Two of the greatest fighters of this generation going toe-to-toe in Sin City in their bid to go down in the history books as one of the sports greats. 

“Everyone is beatable” is a cliché often used in boxing, and the majority of the time it’s pretty accurate. Only legends like Joe Calzaghe, Andre Ward, Floyd Mayweather Jr and Rocky Marciano have retired without a blemish on their record.

Rematches are part and parcel of boxing these days. Whether we like them or not, in many big fights there’s a rematch clause. In rare cases, like this one, there wasn’t a rematch clause — but the demand for the two fighters to run it back is just as powerful as any signed piece of paper.

It’s the fight that many believed we would never see and many believed was impossible to make. Two pound-for-pound generational greats putting it all on the line in their bid to be the undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world.
