After a week off, big-time heavyweight boxing returns to the shores of England this weekend as former world champion Joseph Parker steps back into action against the hard-hitting, undefeated Fabio Wardley at the O2 Arena.

When it comes to boxing, a crossroads fight is often a vital part of not one but two fighters’ careers. One fighter is usually on the up with a huge future ahead of them, while the other faces the bleak prospect of potential retirement if they lose.

One night, three time zones, three world title fights, one hall-of-famer, one soon-to-be hall-of-famer and one future hall-of-famer, this Saturday night really does have it all for boxing fans.

In terms of a double-header, from two different promoters, with two different broadcasters, over two days and in one city, it really does not getting much better in the world of boxing than this weekend.  One of the greatest rivalries in boxing will come to a conclusion at Madison Square Garden on Friday as Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano battle it out in what will more than likely be the big finale between the pair on an all-female card which features three undisputed world title fights and three more world title fights, two of those being unification clashes. Remarkable. 

With this week's world title action already done and dusted by Thursday morning, the boxing world's beady eyes will all be on Manchester this weekend as Jack Catterall looks to bounce back from defeat against Arnold Barboza Jr when he takes on the undefeated Harlem Eubank on his return to welterweight.

In terms of a random weekend of boxing action, it really doesn’t get much more random – but as randomly exciting – as this one. A super-middleweight ‘interim’ world title fight on Friday, followed by the return of a former heavyweight world champ. Then on Saturday, probably the best fight of the weekend in an all-British European title clash – and Jake Paul headlining a card that features a cruiserweight unification clash against another former world champ.
